Successful Esri European Petroleum GIS Conference
con terra participates as sponsor / Wintershall presents the deployment of security.manager – ArcGIS Edition
The Esri European Petroleum GIS Conference took place in London from 1 to 2 November, at which con terra was represented as a sponsor. An international audience of more than 200 participants took advantage of the conference as an opportunity for continuing education and networking. Technical presentations and user presentations from the field demonstrated the versatile use of ArcGIS technology in the oil and gas producing industry.
The presentation by con terra’s customer, Wintershall, was met with great interest. Karina Schmidt and Eugen Gass demonstrated, among other things, how security.manager – ArcGIS Edition can be used to provide GIS-based web services with different authorizations for worldwide users and thus control access.
The presentation of the internationally operating IHS Markit highlighted service and cloud architectures for the provision of valuable company data and showed how access is secured via the security. manager Enterprise Edition.
From a technical point of view, Ralf Hackmann from con terra explained in the lecture: "Stay in control of access to your exploration and operational data, using security. manager" - how sensitive data in ArcGIS-based infrastructures can be protected on a role- and rights-based basis.
At the booth in the company exhibition, numerous participants took the opportunity to inform themselves about con terra's software solutions. The good networking opportunities and the exchange with the Esri experts rounded off the two days of the conference.
