Zellstoff Stendal Holz GmbH & Co. KG

The aim of the log locations map service is to support the log stack management procedures for the company Zellstoff Stendal Holz. To realise this, one component was devised for collecting data and another for providing information regarding log stack locations and supply notifications.

The solution implemented in the project allows for the recording of, search for and display of log locations and supply area notifications. The functionality, data volume (and content) and one section of the user interface are created generically on the basis of the authorisations.

On the client side, the application has been optimised in such a way that users with low available bandwidths (e.g. ISDN users) and more basically equipped computers can enjoy satisfactory response times. The web design of the application was devised and implemented entirely by con terra.

The Log Location Map Service is based on the MapViewer Framework (MVF) system from con terra GmbH. This is a central client framework for the creation of web applications using mapping components on a JSP basis.
