FMEdays 2010: START, MEET, STUDY
Following the feedback we got over the past few years, we decided to extend and optimize our concept for the European FME user conference. With the new name FMEdays 2010 and the modules START, MEET and STUDY con terra GmbH and the manufacturers of FME, Safe Software Inc., will jointly host this event from March, 8th to 12th 2010. The event is eminently suitable for consolidating and upgrading your own FME know-how. Take advantage of this opportunity to compare notes, exchange experience and communicate with FME users and developers from Germany and neighbouring European countries.
START The START module introduces the FMEdays with a series of lightning talks on various FME related topics. It’s your chance to participate in the FMEdays actively. Please submit your proposed lightning talks by 31 January 2010 and share your ideas with the FME audience on March, 8th 2010. The only criteria for lightning talks is that they are in some way related to FME and do not last longer than 8 minutes.
MEET The MEET module, the former FME User Meeting is to be held on March 9th and 10th. Aside from user reports and presentations delivered by Safe Software partners from Germany and its European neighbours, the Safe Software founders and co-presidents Dale Lutz and Don Murray will report on both current and forthcoming developments in the field of FME technology. During the breaks con terra and Safe Software staff will be available to answer questions on FME Desktop and FME Server. We look forward to your contribution; please send your proposal to fme@conterra.de. As in the past years, participating in the MEET module for speakers is free.
STUDY The STUDY module on March, 11th and 12th offers the chance to develop your skills and upgrade your FME know-how in various key areas. The following, one-and-a-half-day training sessions will be conducted by our FME Certified Trainers and by Safe Software trainers: • FME Server (in German) • FME Server (in English) • Python-Skripting in FME (In German) • FME and Raster / Stretching FME Boundaries (in German)
Please visit www.fme-days.com for registration until December, 31st 2009 and take advantage of our early bird discount and the full package price for participation in all modules of FMEdays. You also find detailed information on the participation fees, including any further information you may need to plan your stay at FMEdays 2010.
