Once again, con terra GmbH wins award at the 2009 FME INTERNATIONAL USER CONFERENCE

Whistler, Canada. Once again, con terra GmbH has won the prize for the Top Performing Reseller, awarded by Safe Software Inc., manufacturers of the internationally successful SpatialETL Tools FME, at a ceremony at this year's FME INTERNATIONAL USER CONFERENCE. In their thank-you speech, Don Murray and Dale Lutz, founders and co-CEOs of Safe Software said that the award was in recognition of the sales generated in the year 2008 as well as the extraordinary level of enthusiasm displayed by con terra GmbH as a European FME Service Center.

The varied programme at this year's FME INTERNATIONAL USER CONFERENCE included – in addition to Safe Software's own presentations and innovations – contributions by FME users and business partners from all over the world. con terra gave two presentations, entitled 'FME and CityGML – Generating 3D City Models in a Variety of Applications' and 'The INSPIRE Fusion Center (IFC) - An ETL-based Solution Providing Geospatial Information in the INSPIRE Network', which were given an enthusiastic reception by participants.

The highly successful conference was rounded off with a talk by Don Murray and Dale Lutz, in which they gave an exciting forecast of what the future holds in store for FME technology. Don Murray also discussed the integration of the sdi.suite securityManager in FME Server, where the technology developed by con terra will be employed to provide FME Server security.
