Licence Management in Spatial Data Infrastructures

The commercial exploitation of services offered within spatial data infrastructures has so far not been in line with expectations. The reason for this is that the online procedures required for their implementation had so far not been available.

With the licenseManager component of the sdi.suite, con terra GmbH now presents the first product of its kind to support the commercial exploitation of services provided within SDIs, in the sense of INSPIRE. In particular, it is directed at authorities that charge fees for their geoservices, since according to INSPIRE (Article 14/4), these are to be provided as e-commerce services.
